Japanese gangster films
Most stuff with Jonny Depp, Dustin Hoffman, Pacino, Ed Norton, Christopher Walken, Brad Pitt in.

I hate:

99% of action films
Chav nonsense like 2 Fast 2 Furious
The Bourne films
Rom coms
Anything with Kevin Costner in
Most blockbusters (Avatar, Transformers)

It's a bit older, but I recently saw The Thin Red Line by Terrence Malick and it is a beautiful crafted film. Totally different to any other war film, if anything its the antithesis of say Saving Private Ryan as the horror is with the characters rather than portraying the realism.
