Sean Goater is today having a medical at Reading with a view to signing later today.

Another striker gone then

DK wouldn't have been able to afford ¼ of Goaters wages anyway, its not worth worrying about it, he was never a realistic target.

What a quality signing by the Royals, they could really be going places this season. So depressing to think we were better than them 2 seasons ago and now it seems we are miles apart in terms of quality on the field not to mention off it.

Could be a bit hard for him to have a medical and sign for Reading today, considering he is in Demark for pre-season training with Man City at the moment. He will be making a decision when he gets back

Goater is still in Denmark, and RFC are still in Sweden, so its early days yet. I expect that a bigger club will come in for him, and that his wages may still be too high for us. Still, glad to see that he's considering us...

Man City have accepted the bid, it's now up to Shaun himself

Goater is feckin useless. All arms and legs and bambi's level of control. Sort of Like Peter Smith but up front.

Good thing is that pardew got so pissed off with Connelly of WImbledon not making his mind up about a move to reding, that he pulled the plug on the deal yesterday.

get in there Sir Steve. Connelly would solve all out probs up front at a stroke.

Weve got more chance of Mcphee being Div 2 top scorer than ever getting Connelly, and Goater has scored for fun in Div 1 before and will be a class act for Reading.

A goat is probably cheaper than a groundsman
