We're third in the league and just set a club record for an unbeaten run in the top flight and this is your thread?

I met them in the 1980s. Reminds of my late old man so not a pointless thread for me.

He sort of disappeared off the TV but was easily the world greatest ventriloquist.

Man covers up his ventriloquism shortcomings by pretending his puppet is drunk shock horror probe.

And you say his TV contract was cancelled when?

(no objection to a thread on ventriloquism on this glorious day, but FFS.....)

Now, this is proper class

With all due respect that is bollocks

Ray Allen was a genius ventriloquist, easily the best the world has ever seen. His lips never move and other ventriloquists lips always move. Obviously aided by having a drunk "character", but that's part of his genius learning to develop a character under the glare of the new TV cameras.

Not that I like ventriloquists at all (I hate them) and neither really do the general public.

But he had no shortcomings technically.
