Can someone help me out with the a train travel voucher query that came up when travelling to the Amex last week? I've a book of travel vouchers and have been getting a return from London Bridge to Haywards Heath all season, using FCC trains as it's only £9.50.

Last Saturday a ticket inspector came round just before HH, so I showed him my ticket and voucher for the remainder of the journey to Brighton. He said the vouchers weren't valid on FCC trains, but would let me off on this occasion. I queried this as I haven't had a problem all season, but he seemed sure.

I can't find any literature about the vouchers not being valid on FCC, so was he just being a numpty?

I think he is just being a jobsworth mate. I cant see there being a problem if you have a valid ticket up to HH then using your travel voucher for the remainder of the journey.

I travel down from London occasionally and do the same thing.

Hello, Falmer Flutter.

I can confirm that the travel partners listed in terms of Rail Travel are:

Thameslink
Southern

Capital Connect isn't listed as a partner of B&HA, I'm afraid this might be the problem.

That's all I'm going by, anyway, the info on the back of the Voucher Book.

I'd recommend calling the club on this one.

Hope this helps.

Aren't Thameslink and FCC the same thing? ???

Are Thameslink and FCC not the same thing, is that not the bedford train?

Southern and Thameslink/First Capital Connect are the two principle train companies that serve the route into Brighton. If Thameslink are listed as a travel partner and FCC aren't then it suggests that the club's travel partner terms and conditions just needs to be updated.

Normally use P&R but am getting the train tomorrow. All trains from Three Bridges between 11 and 12 appear to be FCC to Brighton.
