Ultimately we will get to the point where ALL games are televised and they can do that with enough varied kick off times to still avoid the 3pm blackout. Saturday 3pm will become time for televised women's football and non televised lower league games. So that means about 70% of games will be televised. Saturday 3pm kick offs will become even more of a rarity.
Not live. They leave the game behind your wheelie bin and you can watch it when you get home.Does that mean Amazon are not showing games anymore?
That’s a shame - One of the few good perks about Amazon Prime Membership was watching a Christmas series of free PL matches - I was hoping Amazon would be expanding this part of their service - disappointing for those of us who don’t subscribe to Sky - (I generally pay per view just for the Brighton matches so at least more games will be broadcast) - but honestly the amount of money being poured into top flight EPL from broadcasting rights (to the detriment of the rest of the football league) is staggering. That link says the new broadcast packages could see Amazon expand their rights. Seems like they’ve been outbid as they’ve not got any of the new packages, 4 to Sky (including live coverage of all 10 games on the final day of the season and multiple games will be shown in the Sunday 2pm time slot) and 1 to TNT (which seems to include the two midweek blocks current shown by Amazon and the Saturday lunchtime game). BBC retaining the rights to the highlights.

£6.7bn for 270 games a season for 4 seasons is £6.2m per game. Is it really worth £6.2m per game to these TV companies? Seems mad.
