Eh, I thought this was a 'winter break' - how come there are fixtures?

Hoping for Fulham, City, Spurs away wins then.

It's staggered.

Half the sides have this weekend off, and the teams playing this weekend have next weekend off.

It all worked out really nicely for us then, no FA Cup replay, no League Cup semi, and we get the 1st weekend off. A good 2 week gap to rest and recuperate.

If you were a real pedant you'd work out the gap from when the Stoke game finished.

Not from when it started!
You and I might be able to have a pedantic argument about that and, in order for me to accept your levels of pedantry, I'd need to see evidence that whenever you talk about the next fixture you indicate that, for example, it doesn't take place 'in a week's time' but, rather, 'in 166 hours time' (or some equivalent).

I don't see how having a winter break like this is a fair split

Should be all at the same time

Also seems unfair that some clubs have African/Asian players leaving at different points, should be all unavailable at the same time.

The rules on players reporting for international duty are the responsibility of FIFA, and the wonts of the nations involved. The PL has no control over this at all.- and you are looking at it from entirely the wrong perspective - each nation will have told their players when to report (within the framework stipulated by FIFA). Whether that deadline meant they were able to get one more / one less match in for their club, is purely down to chance.
