Everyone except Stephen was below average. Stephens was his usual self.

What have our tactics actually been this season? Wait until we're behind then have a go? It really seems like it if you look back at well over half our games this season. We've done very well to reach the cup semis, but performance wise we've been dreadful 90 odd % of our games this season.

What has changed at home especially this season? We haven't been anywhere near as solid/as much of a threat as we were last season

The last sentence you typed is the thing. We have gone backwards, we haven't progressed.

We HAVEN'T gone backwards. :annoyed::rant:

How dare you say that.

We've gone sideways, then sideways again, sideways again, and THEN backwards.

Get it right FFS.

Super Seaford From the South
Ryan 6 Did what was expected most of the game but was let down for their goal
Montoya 8 MOM the only one, other than Bernardo, who seemed to be trying,
Duffy 6 Easy game for him with no great opposing striker to mark
Dunk 6 as per Duffy
Bernardo 7 Tidy and kept trying to get forward and players to move but failed.
Knockaert 5 Poor game offering little
Propper 4 his worst game for us
Stephen 6 Tried but those around didn't respond lucky not to get 2nd yellow.
Jahakanbahsh 5 Tried 1 to many touches most if the time and lost the ball.
Bissouma 5 Started well but faded too many poor long range efforts
Murray 4 Offered nothing

Subs
Marsh 5 did nothing of note so no improvement when he came on.
Locadia 6 Looked lively and offered more in his few minutes than Murray in 90 mins.

Team performance 5 Poor the best team won because they wanted it more than us.

Agree with this assessment except would mark Stevens down to 5

Ryan 7 - decent enough to be honest.
Montoya 5 - decent going forward but caught out defensively on more occasions than is comfortable. His positioning was poor throughout
Duffy 6 - decent defensively but an absolute liability on the ball
Dunk 7 - kept us in it at times but closed down quickly throughout
Bernardo 7 - probably just about our best player. Strangely subdued offensively in the first half - under instruction I'd assume
Knockaert 5 - some decent deliveries from deadball situations masked a horrible first half and a pretty lackluster second. I know he scored against Palace but he just doesn't deserve his place in the side at the moment
Bissouma 6 - probably our best midfielder but chose the wrong options far too often and made a mistake for the goal. But still looked our most threatening player for most of the game
Stephens 5 - same old, same old
Propper 5 - probably his worst game for us in a long time. Failed to gain any forward momentum and was pressed rigorously
Ali J 5 - simply not up to it at the moment. Not strong enough, not fast enough, no goal threat, doesn't link the play, not great defensively...
Murray 4 - a horrible performance. Failed to do his job and it had so many knock on effects throughout the side.

Subs
March 5 - a poor performance but it baffles me why CH ever plays him on the left hand side when it plainly isn't his natural position.
Locadia 7 - made a difference when he came on with his movement and link up play.

CH 1 - just an awful day at the office. A ponderous team selection making us easy to play against, a failure to read the game, poor changes that didn't alter the shape until late on when the game was basically beyond us. Let himself, his players and the fans down.

March ?. He was awful

Two chances within a minute to get a cross in and both times he hit the first defender. He was rubbish. But then plenty were way below par.

But a special mention though for Stephens. Even in a team that put up such a lacklustre, spiritless and turgid performance, Stephens shone like a beacon.

Ryan 6 - had nothing to do
Montoya 6 - had a hard task looking after Redmond who is a very underrated player
Bernardo 7 - by far our best player
Duffy and Dunk 7 - did their jobs
Knocky 5 - inffective
Ali 5 - flashes of quality but largely anonymous
Propper 5 - poor game
Stephens 6 - not as bad as some are suggesting, does the dirty work
Bissouma 7 - the one player who looked like he knew what the implications of losing were, amazing considering his age. Love him.
Murray 5 - isolated. if we play with Murray leading the line he needs support and service from the midfield, which he didn't get

What frustrated me was the complete lack of urgency from most of the players - and the management apparently. We could really have done with a win on Saturday. After the dreadful first half I expected a similar effort to the Huddersfield game where we really had a go at em. Instead we looked even more ponderous and lacking in energy until we conceded.
