Kuipers 7 - Mistake on their late goal, made some great saves earlier in the game though
Whing 6 - Average, didnt get forward much
Hawkins 5 - Looked very dodgy today, Akinfenwa caused him a lot of problems
Elphick 9 - MOM
Richards 7 - Tidy performance

Fraser 7 - Few poor freekicks and corners, but energetic and looked decent
Livermore 6 - Didnt see much of him
El Abd 6 - great tackler, cannot pass to save his life
Ayinsah 6 - Looked lively at times, won us the penalty but went missing after that
Virgo 5 - Looked unfit and clumsy
Murray 8 - Well taken penalty and a great finish to put us 2-1 up

Subs: Cox 5
Forster 5
Thornton 6 - hit the bar with a freekick, lost the ball quite a bit but was involved with our second goal

Pretty much agree with questier but I'd make FDM man of the match as we'd have lost heavily if it hadn't been for him and Tommy Elphick.

Kuipers 9 - MOM - String of fine saves though was at fault for their second equaliser
Whing 5 - Caught out for pace several times
Hawkins 5 - Didn't seem up for it at all
Elphick 8 - Good game, kept us in it
Richards 6 - Played ok
Fraser 7 - Good game, shame he was taken off
Livermore 6 - Played ok
El Abd 7 - Got well stuck in but like a headless chicken a few times
Ayinsah 6 - Had a few good runs and was pulled down for the penalty
Virgo 5 - Not a good game at all
Murray 6 - Caught offside a few times as per normal

Subs:
Cox 6 - Not enough time really to make an impression
Forster 6 - Played ok and almost (should have) scored
Thornton 6 - Looked promising, seemed quite quick and skilfull

What does Murray have to do to impress people? Can't remember more than one offside all game and he scored both our goals.
Feel really sorry for Virgo. A quality player being played completely out of position. Would play him instead of Hawkins next game personally.

Hate to say this, I didn't think Hawkins was that bad. If they hadn't have just walked through our midfield without us even attempting to but in a challenge we would have looked better at the back. Tommy is superb though!

What was the formation? Was Virgo in midfield or up front with Murray?

Today he just sort of wondered around and looked as if he was completely confused with he going ons around him. Think he was meant to be in mid.

Yes, he was.

All i'm saying is if we had any sort of midfield the defence wouldn't have had a 90 minute nightmare. They could have scored a dozen today, Hawkins did make a couple of last gasp challenges and took the ball off Akinfenwas foot when the goal was gaping.

I have no idea. Played excellently today within the limitations of the team around him. He is elegant, effortless class. IMO.

That might be a bit over the top but yeah, i liked him today he did well with no supply.

That is certainly true. I have no clue whatsoever why we played 4-3-3. Just seemed to invite trouble but if the team was suffering a virus that might explain the strange selection.

Kuipers 8 - Two fantastic saves, but questions over their 2nd goal
Whing 6 - More involved than recently. Did ok
Hawkins 5 - Can't have been fit because this was his worst performance for us. Thank goodness Tommy Elphick had a good game
Elphick 9 - as above, did the job of two today
Richards 7 - Very good moments and very poor moments

Fraser 6 - I promised to be nicer about him since I learnt about his Grandad, so he gets a six
Livermore 7 - Experience showed through, but could have had a bigger influence
El Abd 5 - Like a brick wall - useful defensively but hopeless creatively
Anyinsah 7 - They didn't like having to play him and were relieved to see him go off
Virgo 6 - had hoped Micky would put him back in place of the Hawk.
Murray 8 - Two goals just the job. Hopefully the confidence he will gain will help him inflict his class on more games coming up.

Subs: Cox 5 - Pointless substitution IMO
Forster 5 - ditto
Thornton 6 - promising

I listened to game on SCR but missed the first 5mins.

Was Loft on the bench ?

Just wondering if he is also struck down by this virus as he looked knackered pretty early on to me against Man City.

Loft was on bench.
Don't know why we took Fraser off for an attacking player in Thornton at 1-0.
Robinson was in away end.
