I really don't know why fans get so involved with players and managers. they all come and go eventually, even more so now with the money and player power.
It's rare you have players or managers who stay loyal and you can't fault a player or manager who moves on to 'better' things.
Buying shirts with players names on must be the daftest thing nowadays. (take the torres thing).
It's disappointing sometimes when you lose a favourite, but hey, we are the people, players just milk the situation. There are exceptions of course, but they are very rare now.
I remember being at a Kings CC end of season bash when someone asked Lawro if he would leave if a big club came in for him.......the look Lawro gave him was priceless!
Championship, new stadium, rich owner, new beginning. The manager will stay all the while his career is on path. This set of players will only be mediocre without some new, tougher blood.
More importantly, we will be there!
