Director of football Barry Fry has revealed that Peterborough recently had a £1m bid for Milton Keynes Dons striker Izale McLeod turned down.
"The club made an offer of £1m, but Milton Keynes chairman Pete Winkelman turned it down" said Fry.

"The money would have been spread over three years."

Former Derby man McLeod, 22, is one of League Two's top goalscorers this season and scored for the Dons in their recent 2-1 win against Wrexham.

what the hell are they doing bidding £1m fot a player like mcleod?!! surely if league 2 clubs like peterborough are bidding for him, y don't we get him as apparantely "the money is there"? or am i way over my head?

Peterborough have no more got a million to spend than we have, even if it is over 3 years.Even if they did why would McCleod go there, surely he wants to move up not sideways . Its just BF talking out of his arse again

I think he might just be a tad 'injured' for that.
