How long do you need to park for? If you are doing something like work experience, the best bet would be park and ride or buying weekly bus tickets and parking in the suburbs away from the controlled zones.

You will not find anything cheaper than £1 an hour/£1.80 for two hours

well i mean wheres the closest that you can park, without paying. round elm grove you don't pay, so is there anywhere any closer.

you'd think they didn't want people to drive into the town centre wouldn't you?

Correct.

There is excellent public transport from all over the city (and beyond).

Why make it impossible to move in the city centre by cluttering the place up with cars driving round in circles, looking for cheap parking?

You can park down the side by Cannon Place if you're lucky fairly cheaply.

Free?

Popped into Brighton on Friday and parked in Churchill 2 as I usually do, the buggers have changed it to a minimum of £2 for up to two hours, bit of a pisser as I was only there about 30 mins. Won't be doing that again.

You would be parallel parking on Elm Grove, why not park in Hassocks (or other station) and get the train??

You can get two hours free, 5 minutes from Churchill square. they have only recently changed it from FOUR hours free for these particular spaces.

Its only half-a-dozen spaces, so you're lucky to find one empty, but I often do.

Not telling you where it is though, they're MY spaces.
