OT- Double Glazing

Morning All,

Has anyone recently had double glazing fitting?

Me and the wife bought a new 3 bed semi at the start of the year and have been slowly but surely updating it. It still has single glazing throughout and I just wondered if anyone had DG fitted and can pass on some knowledge re price and decent compaies to do with?

Go with a local indepndant fitter and not a big national company. You would not believe the difference.
I used to fit windows for a living.

I used to work for them, they only employ decent fitters and don't pay them on a "per window fitted" so it won't be a rush job.

Most windows, whether you get them from an expensive national company or a smaller local one, come from the same source. I recently had Anglian Windows in for a quote. But he wouldn't give me one unless my husband was present. In the 21st century! Then Zenith came and she was here for 7 hours giving us the spiel as to how good their windows were. (No better or different from anyone else's, in reality.) In the end, Shaw's came, looked around and left after 15 minutes, giving me a quote for a quarter of the price of Zenith.
