Bit of a long shot, has anyone got any old postcards/photos of the Arcadia Cinema? My paternal grandfather was the organist/pianist there in the 1930s. He also used to play for the ice skaters at the Dome if anyone has photos of that from a similar time. Thank you!
Just had a look through the excellent book, "Brighton and Hove Cinemas" by Allen Eyles which covers the extensive amount of such places in the area over the years and whilst it very briefly mentions it, there are presumably no pictures of it known, as most places are shown, even the really obscure very early picture palaces.

Crikey, a number 4 bus!
When was that route dropped?
I started using buses from late 60s and can't ever recall a 4?
No.4 ran from Southwick Green to Rottingdean in the 50's. Was a favourite trip when I was a child. Usually caught the no.2 back to Southwick, which came through Woodingdean (and still does), whereas no 4 travelled along cliff top from Brighton.
