A special theatre show will be held in the New Year.

A special show called ‘The Goldstone Days - 20 years on!’ is being presented at the Theatre Royal on Monday 20th February.
*
The show is being staged in conjunction with the club and in aid of Albion in the Community (AITC). It will mark the 20th anniversary since the Seagulls left the Goldstone Ground, with a night of “memories and mirth!”
*
Landmark moments in the club's more recent history will be covered in a two-hour theatre spectacular, featuring action clips and interviews with Albion names from down the years, either live on stage or on film.
*
A series of accompanying comedy sketches and characters will be included and based on never to be forgotten club achievements, such as their FA Cup final appearance and various promotion winning teams.
*
Brighton's iconic, atmospheric Theatre Royal, with its seating areas almost surrounding the stage, is the perfect venue for such an occasion.
*
The organisers, who include former defender Albion star Guy Butters, are hoping for a sell-out attendance of just under 1000 Albion fans from across Sussex and beyond.

The show will be produced and performed along similar lines to a hugely successful recent event in Southampton, where 2000 Saints fans packed out the Mayflower Theatre to celebrate the club's 40th anniversary of their FA Cup win.
*
Three of those involved in the Southampton show, Albion fan and television football commentator Peter Brackley, radio and TV presenter Garry Richardson, and TV mimic and show producer Mike Osman, will be teaming up again for the Brighton one.
*
Mike will produce the event, along with some live performing. Garry will be the host on stage, and Peter, who has appeared at around 500 functions as a nationwide comedy after-dinner speaker, will be writing and performing in the sketches and film clips - as he did in Southampton.
*
All proceeds from the show, which is for adults only, will be in aid of AITC, who along with other friends of the club, will be helping to put together what should be a sensational night.
*
The organisers hope to lay on coaches for supporters to attend from around the county, in a similar fashion to Albion away games.
*
Tickets for this one-off occasion will go on sale from Monday 5th December, starting from £25.
