They might not be winning the number of games they would like, but they have become a tighter unit. "
Chris Hughton

At his pre-match press conference, Chris Hughton delivered the latest team news, spoke about James Wilson’s impact since he signed on loan, Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink’s recent appointment as QPR boss and the threat which Rangers will pose.

Team News: "Andrew Crofts is in the squad. Sam Baldock will join in full training next week, so he's ahead of schedule, which is very good.
"Also we're looking at Kazenga [LuaLua] joining in training next week too, so they are positive signs.
"To have Kazenga back in particular with Solly being injured, is an important one for us and it will be good to get him back.
“Calde has stitches in a lip wound, but he trained and is fine.”

James Wilson’s impact: “We’re very grateful to Manchester United for allowing us to have him on loan.
“They felt that it would be best for James’s development to play more games. He’s made a good impact so far; we brought him in to get experience and help us win football matches, and that is what he is able to do.”
"He’s been involved in two-and-a-half games and has scored twice. This is a different level, he’s still a young player and happens to be at a club [United] with a lot of quality, hence why we have him here. Whatever stage he goes back, we hope we can send him back as a better player." *

Threat from QPR: "They've got a lot of quality, especially when you look at the team on paper and what they have on the bench.
“It's for them to make sure they put themselves in a position where they can challenge for promotion.
"They are on a good run at the moment. They might not be winning the number of games they would like, but they have become a tighter unit.
"I would expect them to have a good season."
Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink’s appointment as boss: “I applaud Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink for the way he has gone into management.
“He did an excellent job at Burton Albion and no matter what anyone says, it was a difficult job. The step-up was correct for him and he took his time. He is a very good football man and when you’re on the back of the success he had at Burton, he’ll want to install the same ethics and qualities at QPR.
“He will be successful, but he will find out how difficult this league is."
