CHRISTIAN WALTON
The Luton Town loanee was a late inclusion in the England under-21 squad for their forthcoming European Championship qualifiers against Kazakhstan and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Aidy Boothroyd’s side are in action today against Kazakhstan in Aktobe, kick-off 4pm, before hosting Bosnia and Herzegovina in Walsall on Tuesday, kick-off 7.45pm.
Walton has replaced Jordan Pickford in the squad after the Sunderland goalkeeper was forced to withdraw due to injury. The 20-year-old will now battle it out with Derby’s Jonathan Mitchell and Newcastle’s Freddie Woodman for a starting berth in the two games.
