I note that all the papers today are reporting that 80% of newly qualified drivers think they represent a danger and the concensus is that driving lessons only enable them to pass the actual driving test.
DOH! Talk about stating the obvious. The time you really start learning to drive is the day after you pass your test when your in the car on your own.
To address this issue i've never understood why they don't make it compulsory for newly passed drivers to display a sign that indicates as such(perhaps for a year after passing). Hopefully it would make other drivers more wary and ultimately more considerate and less impatient.
I really fecking hate experienced drivers who tailgate some Learner and just whinge whilst coveniently forgetting that once upon a time they were Learners too!
