O/T IT Assistance Required Please!

I've just very stupidly deleted an entire folder by using the Shift+Delete funtion. Can anything be done to recover it? I don't run any back-ups or anything so am I fecked?

Shut down all applications that you can (including email & browser), don't use the PC any more but don't switch it off (switching it on again will scatter swapfile and pagefile stuff all over the disk).

Find another computer and hunt around for Windows undelete apps.

If you haven't done much on you 'puter since deletion you just may get away with it.

There may be software which can recover it - I've used active-undelete in the past but not on XP.

Google undelete and you may find help.
