How on earth could someone who claims to be Hove born and bred not know where Falmer and Stanmer Park are - they're virtually opposite to each other?

Do find it bizaree that you dont know, but ...

Come out of the station on the same side as the train arrives (assuming you are coming from Brighton that it!!) take the left hand path and go under the underpass. Take your first left and walk to the end of the road and then you are there.

There is an UNDERPASS.

Whats the difference between an underpass, a tunnel and a subway then?

You can't buy sandwiches in an underpass or tunnel.

The underpass goes UNDER the road, a tunnel goes THROUGH things. As for subways? I don't really know, I suppose you could argue the an underpass and a subway are the same thing.

Well I've always called a footpath under a road a subway. Is that the common word for an underpass then?
