Just having a debate at work re: public holidays.

Are Good Friday and Easter Monday public holidays in Australia, United States and South Africa?

Need to know if they're gonna be in their offices tomorrow, if you know what i mean..

I think you have the answer but 09 April is a holiday in South Africa.

Good Friday is a holiday but Easter Monday isn't I am informed.

Not that this is relevant to the southern hemisphere ...

Good Friday is NOT a public holiday in Scotland. But Easter Monday is.

And as today's celebrations draw to a close in Malaysia, a belated happy birthday to the Sultan of Johor.

Both days are public holidays here in Australia. Shops are still open in some states and closed in others.
