On my return to work after a two week holiday, the first thing I did was log onto NSC as usual. It turns out I have a new PC at work with a new firewall installed by the IT dept at work. Everything was going ok and I was posting on NSC as usual when I stupidly decided to chance my arm and see if I could get on NSP which was banned by the old firewall. I got onto the main board and then tried to get into a thread. I was told that this was a forbidden website because it contained "pornography" - it cited the use of the word "cum" on 6 occasions, "f*ck" on 4 occasions, "c*nt" on 8 occasions and "cock" on 5 occasions.
Ho-hum. I wasn't particularly bothered and went back to NSC. I got on to the Big Board and tried to enter a thread entitled "Have you seen what's in the Daily Mail today?" and when I did so the firewall came up and said "block pornography"! Every time I do try to get into NSC this comes up. I haven't been able to get onto NSC since at work and it looks like I won't ever again! Ah well, it's back to my crappy dial-up internet connection at home. It's been fun while it lasted but it looks like I will struggle to get on here very often from now on. Probably a good thing for my career in the long run.
If anyone has any ideas about how I can unblock the firewall on NSC I'd love to hear from them. In the meantime, KEEP THE FAITH and I'll see you all at the Stadium of Light, if not before.
