Best to get off at Bolton or is there somewhere to drink near the ground? Due to arrive about midday.

At the ground ( from Horwich Parkway) it's a 10 minute walk to the pub for away fans - the Beehive- and "the Barnstormers " will serve small groups. Everywhere else is quite strictly home fans only. On the shopping area, there's every fast food outlet you can shake a shitty stick at.

In town there's plenty of pubs, aim for Bradshawgate for most pubs ,though the Sweet Green & York are close to the station & ok , the Man & Scythe is a bit of a tourist attraction, & at that time the locals in town are perfectly friendly....just check your train times up to Horwich. The trains don't get very busy nowadays.

Possibly, probably. Been debating whether or not to go since I saw it was POTG earlier. As it is free train travel for me and I have nothing else planned, it is a probably from me.
