Good fans though.

Saw these two countries at the London Olympics at basketball. Small group of Argentina fans but boy were they loud!

Nigeria have been cruely undone by Argentina in a few WC but this one they didnt play anywhere near as well as their previous game and seemed to choke.

Absolutely. Argentina haven't looked great, but have still dominated this game. All Nigeria have done is defend deep and hoof it clear, with the occasional counter attack, ruined by Ighalo's piss poor finishing. They can have no complaints.

Jenas and his pal have bizarrely given the impression of a dominating Nigeria performance.

Under immense pressure, Messi and co turned up.

Really exciting game - again - great WC this.

Nigeria looked pretty good, there's a lot of talent there, but the coach has the shackles on them, they must have more flair up their sleeve. They are not far off being an impressive side.

Balogun looks pretty decent too, can't see him being at Brighton to be on the bench and he certainly looks like a centre-back

To start with Dunk?

Argentina v France in the next round will be interesting. Two teams with a lot of big name players who haven't really impressed thus far.

No major casualties in the first round then.

You do talk some utter bollocks on here. Inspirational Nigerian performance. They did not deserve that. Chances to put the game to bed but didn't have the quality to finish.

You're wrong. Igahlo the only big chance to put the game to bed and giving the ball back to Argentina every single time.

We needed two more experienced players like Moses and Mikel to manage the game better. Oh well, onwards and upwards.

Should have been a penalty to Nigeria. Agree with drogba, defenders mistake...

Lols inspirational?

They had 1 chance in the second half and he should have buried it- or at least hit the target.

No composure on the ball at all

Lin-acre read out the law & he got it right. Not a deliberate use of the arm, as explicitly stated in the law.

Drogba's technical contribution was strange - "it should've have been a pen, coz it would've put through Nigeria through".

Wasnt deliberate hand ball it skimmed off his head and hit his hand the referee was right. Just because they got it wrong yesterday (drogbas argument) doesnt mean they should get it wrong today.

I think they did well to restrict Argentina to so few opportunities. They did their best against better opponents but it just wasn't quite enough.

Never a pen, anymore than the one against Portugal was yesterday.

Cant believe anybody thought heading the ball accidently against your jumping arm was a penalty. Rio and Drogba….No
