NHS leg pain

Hi chap, Im getting nervous about the scan results. I never wished for good news like i have regarding this.
How are things with you?.
I must have had nearly twenty CT/MRI scans by now and take it as it comes has always been my approach; if the experts recommend more treatment or surgery then I've looked at the rationale etc and always taken the advice thus far.
I'm very tired atm (f*****g useless really) and have some fairly mild nausea at some point most days. Tbh I'm not sure I've quite bottomed out how to manage the new drug regime; my wife says it took a while when I was last on chemo in 2007 but that time's all a bit or a blur to me now (a bit like yesterday!).
Once again, good luck tomorrow.

Whatever the result is, is exactly what it is. You spending the night worrying about it won't change it one little thing. (I know thats easy for me to say but its the god honest truth)

Having said that I've got all sorts crossed for you and I'm sure your other half and your daughter will be right there with you for the ride, whatever the result.

Good luck tomorrow, I've aired my particular issue on a different thread, but I understand how medication can mess with you. I've decided that in addition to family and friends my focus is August 6th.....Nothing, but nothing will stop me from being there !

Chemo went ok yesterday felt a bit sick but thats ok. I didint get any bloody results i was lied to again. I wish they would have just said that the results wouldnt be done yet instead of making out they would be.

Bad luck Cornish, crap just happens sometimes.
Interpretation of CT/MRI scan results at the Royal Surrey usually takes up to a week. The scans themselves are up on the computer sytem almost immediately but require detailed analysis, interpretation and a report from a radiographer - ie the oncology consultant won't know as it's a specialist area. In hindsight I might have said something to forewarn you but in the end I assumed that the Treliske did thngs differently. Sorry.

That's the same as the Sussex County - the follow up appointment with the oncologist is usually 2 or even 3 weeks after the scan and even then you can go along for the appointment and the oncologist hasn't got the results. Always worth phoning up before the appointment to try and make sure the results are back from the radiologist.

Like Alex Dawson, I just assumed that from what you were saying that they were more efficient at the Treliske - obviously not! At least you know a delay isn't unusual or anything to worry about. Good luck when you do get the results.
