Thanks for that. If they are still doing that it's time someone in charge put a stop to their player recruitment. Is there a 'movement' urging this? Apologies if there is and this is a well-known thing and it has passed me by.

Furlough in general ends this month.

I assume those 4 clubs made the ££££ most of it.

I am not sure if this subject has been covered on here but surely Newcastle should not have been allowed to sign new players whilst the club is on furlough. Has anyone worked out what sort of money this has cost Tony Bloom for example ?

And Sheffield United. Their ultimate owner Prince Abdullah is worth £18b, almost 10x that of Ashley. They've spent big in this transfer window, yet exploited furlough.

With that background, the Blades stated excuse is incredible:
