I've seen the term "Scarfer" used in a few threads recently but have no idea what it means. Sorry if it's a really dumb question but would someone mind explaining?

Thanks.

In a pile of football shirts
It's a regular football fan, one who might be inclined to wear a club scarf, or even a replica shirt.

Let me google that for you

"Scarfer" is a term describing a supporter who holds their scarf above their heads when singing "You'll Never Walk Alone". There will be approximately 5,000 Brighton "scarfers" at Anfield on Sunday afternoon.

Scarfer = a 12 pointed word in Scrabble. Unless placed on a double word score when it becomes 24. Or unless placed on a triple word score when it becomes 36. Unless one of the letters is placed on a double letter score when it will score between 13 & 16. Unless one of the letters is placed on a triple letter score when it will score between 14 & 20.

I love scrabble.
