3. If no one wins the money rolls over to the next match, and the pot increases by £25.

I would hate to spoil the fun for everyone but assuming that
there are 13 possible goalscorers i.e. 10 first eleven players (it's not
very likely that Tomek will score a goal) and 3 substitutes, that gives
us 14 possibilities for a goalscorer predicition ("no goalscorer" is the
additional one). Now, let's realistically assume that there are twelve
most likely scores (0-0, 1-1, 2-2, 1-0, 2-1, 3-2, 2-0, 3-1, 4-2, 3-0,
4-1, 5-2). Of course 5-5 or 6-4 is also a possible score, but I meant
the most possible outcomes.

Under such conditions there are about 120 possible combinations
of final score and goalscorer. Assuming that at least 240 NSC users
will take part in the prediction game every time (which is a reasonable
assumption, as about 300 posters have already posted their predictions
in this thread) it is almost certain that every prediction will appear
at least twice and therefore there will be no winner. The money will
always roll over to the next match, the pot will increase ad infinitum
and no one will ever win.

The only chance to win would be to bet on a very unlikely final score,
like 4-4 for example, and a very unlikely goalscorer, and then hope that
nobody else will make the same prediction.

cont. from previous post

AND even if we should have people betting against Albion (which increases the
number of possible, realistic final scores to, let's say, 20) the possibility of winning
is still very low.
