An old mate of mine does not like football, but if asked he always says he's a Man Utd fan. He then enjoys as people try to engage him in soccer banter, when he is only armed with whatever snippet of Utd news he as overheard on the news as proof of is support. It can last for ages before they realise he has never watched a game.
