I don't have anything to say but I've been fuming, for over two years, that I didn't start the Coronavirus thread, and I didn't want to make the same mistake again.

- Not many people have got it.
- "Infection control experts agree that while the disease is usually mild, some people can get more seriously ill."
- Boris Johnson says that the consequences "don't seem to be very serious but it's important that we keep an eye on it."

Seirously - what's the fuss all about? What's the worst that could happen?

I was thinking exactly the same thing this morning as I was ripping the wiper blades off my car.

Peter Reid was worried as he didn't realise it made you look like you have the pox rather than makes you look like .....

Anyone needs a refresher on that exponential growth thing?

16:48 BREAKING Thirty-six new cases bring UK total to 57

The UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) has said it has detected 36 additional cases of monkeypox in England.

The latest cases bring the total number of monkeypox cases confirmed in England since 7 May to 56.

Adding in the new case in Scotland, that brings the UK total to 57.

You heard it here first. The reason Monkeypox seems more prevalent is that Covid has preconditioned humans to catch it easier.

I seem to remember Italy locked down with covid after 150 cases and it took them another week to get up to about 800.

So wouldn't get too cocky yet !!

It was very strange how they dismissed it on BBC News at 10 last night with "There is little cause for concern, as it's generally mild in adults" then moved onto the next story.

What was even more strange was Huw Edwards swinging in tyre and flinging his shit at the autocue.

People need to know :

1 - It is a DNA virus ( not an RNA virus like Covid ).

This means it will not generate variants as easily.

2 - There is already a vaccine.

3 - People are generally not infectious with no symptoms.

The above all makes me less concerned.
