Is this out there in the media or are you getting this from somewhere else?

Details of flight & medical dates from interview today (pic below).
His representative has been in Genk, Belgium.
USG played Genk in a friendly last week.
Moder & Karbownik medicals were undertaken in Munich so his may also be away from Amex.

If he is further along, it’s marginal. Caicedo has 4 World Cup qualifiers under his belt against the likes of Argentina, Uruguay & Columbia bagging himself a goal and 3 assists (which is pretty special for someone sitting back in a Kante position).

He has also played 6 Copa Libertadores matches, a competition which is really not that that far off the Europa League in terms of quality of football.

There is quite a big gulf between the Europa League group stage and Copa Libertadores group stage.

That’s not genuine plus it’s a clip of potter talking about lamptey.

I suspect we will get an official announcement in the next 24-72 hours .

No way would the club bother to go through all the protracted negotiation with all the agents involved , sort out work permit etc to then allow another club to offer him better terms as soon as he lands in England .

He would have signed a legally binding contract a few days ago that will just be subject to a medical .

We got caught out with the chap from Norwich , I’m sure the club will have learnt their lesson , especially with all the extra time needed to get this deal over the line.

I fully expect this deal to go through. To your point, there's no way we'd be this far in without some kind of guarantee from the player. The only thing that could stop him is another Raphael Dwamena situation.

As an aside, since Pritchard turned us turn to go to Norwich "because they had a better chance of being in the Premier League", he's had £20m of transfer fees paid out on him, never got to the PL with Norwich (£8m), went up with Huddersfield (£11m) and only played 17 times for them in the Championship last season. It's fair to say his career didn't take off in the way he thought it would, but he's undoubtedly made a lot of money out of it.

I don't want to detract too much from a good win but bear in mind the Flamengo players were probably suffering in Quito due to the altitude.

That’s very true, I’ve seen the altitude effect first hand in Bolivia watching River Plate get soundly beaten by a La Paz team. Hi were, Cacideo is meant to be renowned for his mobility and energy levels. I’m assuming the increased levels of oxygen he’ll experience in the UK compared to Ecuador will only increase that Kante quality of being ‘everywhere’ that he is rumoured to possess.

The season before Leicester won the title they were in a relegation battle until the second half of the season.
Then they bought Kante who took them to another level, and the rest is history.

So basically what I’m saying is that we will win the league next year.

Loving this from the Guardian

And another talented South American youngster who looks to be set for the Premier League is Moises Caicedo. The 19-year-old midfielder has got a host of European club managers hot and bothered but the offer of doing pilates with Graham Potter has convinced him that a £4.5m move to Brighton from Independiente del Valle is his destiny.....
