Aaah! My wife and I went on our first date together there... in June 1981, to see Chariots of Fire.

We went with Simon Mayo and his then g/f - and had a chicken phall on the way home.

Those WERE the days! :)

Aah, the joys of Worthing 6th Form College!!

You would be a couple of years older than me - I was in the same year as his bro, Jonathan (who also works for the Beeb - studio manager/producer type thing).

Happy days!

Yep, happy days - Bond-mungus!

It's an absolute travesty that the town doesn't have a decent multi-screen cinema any more, and it's a tight race as to what will get built first - a replacement cinema, the new West Pier or Falmer...

There is a very very good paper that goes through the doors in Worthing and has a lot of history related pics and items in there. For memories of Worthing past (as well as other excellent items) it is well worth a look.

Very happy memories .... did all my early dating there!!!!!

Fondest film memories are: an evening of Emerson Lake and Palmer and another of the Strawbs in about 1973

Also saw Don't Look Now and the Wicker Man, with a girl I used to work with on a Saturday - would love to know what became of her!
