We were linked to him a while ago, won't sign new contract, with Leeds. Played well at the AMEX last season. Sunday People say Palace interested, could be a good buy.

Why sign a million pound striker to replace Murray who is worth £1.5m?

That would be an amazing signing can see it happening with the money they brought in from Scannell just wondering whether we should be offloading some bit part players to pay for better ones?

Maybe because it is not a football game on a computer.

Just because a player is worth slightly less it does not mean the player they bring in would not improve the squad and bring something different to the squad.

It also depends on how the manager wants to shape the squad in terms of tactics and style of play.

Not sure where you plucked GM's market value from as well? Did you just make that up

Seriously doubt he would go there. If he did, it can't be for footballing reasons and would be a big backward step in his carer. Always think of McCormack in the same way as Chopra. Both play well and score loads of goals in stages, then seem to fall off the radar when they think they have done there bit. Not sure either player has that winning mentality.

McCormack would be a great signing. Would love Brighton to get him, and would be disappointed if Palace manage to get him.

Their owners are talking about some top signings though and they should be getting some decent cash from Clyne and Moses soon, so it's possible.

I reckon Palace would be lucky to get £500k for Murray tbh, didn't exactly prove he is a top end championship striker and a moody bastard to boot. Not sure there would be a queue of championship clubs wanting to sign him.

Wonder why he's not signing a new contract with Leeds? Money? In which case you'd have to question whether Palace would have the funds to pay him any more. He's Scottish (I think?) therefore location isn't likely to be the reason for him wanting to move. For me it's either got to be money, or the perennial "ambition", in which case you can't imagine he'll be picking Palace either.

Probably end up at Leicester or Wednesday, seems to be the pattern.

It could only be for money if he goes to Palace.

CPFC2010 have already admitted that they wasted £4 million shoring up crumbling Palace last season. And it would've been even more had they not had their cup run.

Despite this, they will be following the perennial Palace business model of throwing good money after bad.

CPFC2010 said:
You don't have to estimate it, Steve P ran through the figures at the fans' forum. We (the owners) had to put in £4m last season to balance the books and without the cup run it would have been even worse than that. I think that we are "having a go at it" now. We have an excellent manager and are close to having a very good team indeed,

Dougie has been given a budget to work with. It's even more than last season and it will result in significant losses for the owners this season but we can support that.

Was being chased by Wigan, so would be suprised if he ended up at Palace. Leeds (according to Leeds mates who frequent WACCOE) apparently transfer listed him along with Adam Clayton, although nobody is quite sure why It's probably to do with Captain Birdseye not improving contracts.

I can't see Leeds making any transfers whilst they are in a takeover bid, Warnock wants to leave due to no transfer funds, McCormack wants to leave for more money, and to a more ambitious Club however doubt either will happen until any takeover talk is concluded.
