I usually say, “ah, you seem to have some dirt on that” and pretend to wipe off the club badge.

My kid wears a football top but I normally wear normal clothes, I think it’s pretty normal? I think most kids choose their own clothes!

Sadly yes, they are probably day trippers, but there are Palace fans that live here, yep.
It is always the kids that wear the tops, and the parents follow them around with a stupid grin, when you clock the top.

That's when I have a little comment like I said in a previous post or..
The last time I saw a dad and his son a few weeks ago in the lanes I asked them "come down from the smoke then, for the day have you?"
"Yeah" was the smug reply.

I posted this on another thread last night.

We had gone through the NS turnstiles, east end, and not far behind was this bloke in his 20's with a Utd shirt underneath a coat with a Utd badge. Stewards stopped him coming in, his mate goes "he's a Brighton fan" , along comes the stand supervisor who then calls the stand manager and eventually he was told he had two choices, remove his shirt and coat or go home. He ended up being escorted by a steward to the shop and had to buy a white Brighton t shirt and put his coat and shirt in a bag.

That they might do, but I would discourage it in enemy territory, plus you secretly know I am right.

Two lads on our row who’d bought off the exchange. One spent the whole game videoing the away end on his phone whenever they sang. Were clocked fairly early and outed themselves by moving to the end of the row when the pen was given and sodding off when it went in - with a flea or two in their ears.

Nope, West Upper. @Scoffers put his tickets on the exchange. Thinking about it afterwards with my son we think they’re the same two that were near there last season and left at half time having been mercilessly ribbed by our Scouse mate. They’ve obviously got Brighton purchase history but I think they’ll try another stand next season

I had a pint with 3 or 4 of your lot after the game in one of the stands near the train station and they told me about your rivalry with Palace.

The older fella was old skool Brighton and I've always got time for proper fans. Even if they support Liverpool or City.

Saw quite a few from Wembley half and half. Was thinking of getting one for my daughter at the time but at £20 a pop, forget it. Cheaper to get a BHA one from the club shop.

Not bothered at all by it,the only way I get to go to the London games is to sign up on their official websites and bag a ticket in the home end,I'm definitely not alone doing that. How else can you get tickets when they're rightly sold to Season ticket holders and the points ladder,so if I see opposing fans in our end and they behave I kinda get why they do it as they're in the same boat as me probably.

I don't really have that much of a problem with it if you behave and don't wear colours. I've been in the home end following the Albion many many times, usually with a mate from the other team. I do it every single West Ham game for a start. However, walking into the home end wearing a Man Utd shirt marks you out as a massive twat and you deserve to get chucked out.

It's not that straight forward for kids. In fact, I don't really mind it actually. I'd rather local Man Utd "supporting" 7 year-olds come to Brighton in their Man Utd shirts if they must, then have a good experience except the result and then as they get older realise they should be supporting their local side.

There were a lot of empty seats in the away end which surprised me. I assume you had sold out? Where were the no shows? Loyalty point collectors?
