Rewatching it, I actually think it was more de Gea's fault than Maguire's. The pass de Gea made to Maguire was slow and bouncing rather than driven flat and directly to Maguire. Maguire hits it first time, but by that point he's surrounded by Seville players.FFS how many times is Savage going to bang on about the goal being de Gea’s fault
But yes, Maguire is guilty of not realizing that the moment to play the first time pass to the wing was long gone. But I don't think he really had a lot of good options at that point.
When de Gea initially made the pass the move was on.
