4.48 for me on my first and last attempt!! I too was another one who blewout at 21miles after trying to keep to 4hr pace (wrongly!!!)

Congratulations to all the finishers though. A great achievement

London yesterday was such an amazing experiance. Ran with a mate, me in the lime green away shorts and socks,my mate in the pink version! Finished in 5.25.38 so 21 mins better than my Brighton Marathon time. Never never doing one again, hit the wall around mile 19 but recovered at mile 21 after one of those horrible gels, but it got me there!

My split times from the website were

05K 10:56:41 00:34:34 34:34 06:55 8.68
10K 11:32:58 01:10:51 36:17 07:16 8.27
15K 12:08:56 01:46:49 35:58 07:12 8.34
20K 12:45:27 02:23:20 36:31 07:19 8.22
HALF12:53:44 02:31:38 08:18 07:34 7.94
25K 13:23:01 03:00:54 29:16 07:30 8.00
30K 14:03:13 03:41:07 40:13 08:03 7.46
35K 14:48:22 04:26:15 45:08 09:02 6.65
40K 15:27:35 05:05:28 39:13 07:51 7.65
FT 15:47:44 05:25:38 20:10 09:11 6.53

Think it highlights me hitting the wall quite nicely!

The picture was taken at Tower Bridge so just about half way.

I was in a restaurant in Covent Garden yesterday when many of the brave souls came in for some food post-race. However I saw one rather attractive young lady who had clearly been running to raise money for stroke victims. Unfortunately, she had the word STROKE written across her chest and I thought that was just asking for trouble! I was arrested shortly afterwards.

Seriously, well done to all those who ran and at the Brighton marathon. A tremendous effort.

Yep, well done everyone. I had a Benny Hill moment running the Brighton Marathon last week. A buxom runner with Patsy emblazoned across her chest. No arrest as she was about 3 miles ahead of me on Basin road loop.

Well done everyone. I was watching just past the 22 mile point at Shadwell.

Tried to look out for an Albion shirt or two, but must have missed them.

Nice to be the other side of the barriers this weekend. Cheered on the runners, and even helped one woman open her gel. No sweaty hugs though.

You were overtaken by KATHERINE JENKINS between the 25k and 30k. Are you sure it was the gel that got you to the finish line or her arse?
