The joke rather loses its way when you change it to fit the facts and put them in the right order - putting the scotsman before the Irishman just doesn't sound funny

Nah, the jokes are unrelated to Hillsborough. They are a massive club who are pretty poor at the moment, thats funny without having to turn it into a joke. Now if the jokes were Hillsborough related, thats a big line crossed and unacceptable.
