Brighton chairman Dick Knight has called on manager Steve Coppell to stay or go to Reading.
Knight claims the first division club planned to confirm Coppell's appointment as successor to Alan Pardew on Tuesday.
But were forced to scrap a press conference because he couldn't agree terms.
Reading has refused to confirm they're in talks with Coppell.
