Can't believe Steve Clarke is still 66 with Victor. I don't think it will be him, but those odds are long

Just slapped a fiver on him after seeing those odds. Must be something we're missing, else why would he be as unlikely as Poyet?!

What would be regarded as a suspect bet? If (for example) I'd overheard TB say he's giving the job to Kenny Dalgleish and then I put 10 grand on Kenny, would I have to explain myself to the bookies?

You will be lucky to get anything more than £25 on.

Yeah. Very low max bets on these markets, for the reason you've highlighted.

No bookie would take it on a next manager market. Red flags would be popping up everywhere & about a millisecond second later, the book would be suspended or closed altogether. Although all the bookmakers are in competition for the punters business, they all 'compare notes' if they suspect something a bit 'lively' is going on. In the digital age, odd patterns of betting are easily picked up on.

It's usually a max payout rather than max stake.
My totesport account has a max payout of £10 so I can have £1 at 9/1, £2 at 4/1 etc.

I think you'd have to spell his name right or the bookie will be doing some explaining to you as to why you lost all your money when Kenny Dalglish was appointed instead.
