Very true - ill try it the once, pre seson training a bit at the mo so need something to replace the salts lost.

Saw that in the Daily Mirror today, doesn't look very appetizing. Would have though it would make the bread soggy, think I'll give it a miss.

I imagine as an occassional snack home-made from leftovers that would be a just about passable bite if there was nowt else in the house. That however looks like a shit sandwich and I couldn't see myself buying or enjoying such a thing.

I've been doing that since I was a child. Anything with mince basically - bolognaise, lasagne, shepherds pie, cottage pie, meatballs.

Having lived up in wigan for a while bread / rolls / barms are like heaven to me and below are small list of fillings that have been past my lips between bread


Pies (various fillings)

Chicken chow mein

Singapore or special fried rice

Pizza

Melton mowbray pie with thousand island dressing on toast when drunk

kebba meat (pitta bread thrown away for being inadequate and falling to bits)

Lasagne yes along with shepards pie / cowboy pie anything even my fav
