If the club does decide to sell Lamptey, I would be appalled. He is, by some margin in my view, the most exciting player to wear the blue and white stripes for many, many years; and if we're really going to develop and prosper as a club, we need to be holding on to, and nurturing, our talent, not flogging them off for a pittance to a tinpot club like Munich.

Their “reports say” was in reality, just:
1. That original unreliable tweet this morning.
2. Lamptey’s good.

Perhaps this is all coming from the agent who wants a new contract for Lamptey.
Which probably isn't a bad idea.
Would be nice to make sure his buyout clause is nice and high.

I’d be surprised if he has a buyout clause. I don’t think they’re common in contracts at English clubs.

If Bayern is able to negotiate a fair price down from €25m, he could prove to be a great value signing and add necessary depth to the right-back position for Hansi Flick.
