Maybe one reason this is not of interest to the broader media?

Nothing in that link indicating why 500 GB of emails leaked from the Labour Party would have zero news value, no.

You have to be in full denial mode to believe that this would have less public interest than.. lets pick headlines from today: "'I fell madly and deeply in love': Former Lioness Alex Scott recalls 'first love and heartbreak' with teammate Kelly Smith as she confirms secret romance for first time in new memoir" or 'It really consumed a lot of my childhood': Maisie Williams, 25, breaks down in tears as she discusses her 'traumatic' relationship with estranged father".

All the people who have posted or who are impressed by that Unherd link don't like the Left. They are telling us that as long as the victims are leftwingers, they don't care what scale of corruption happens and see it's a good thing that journalists don't cover it. In fact, some probably think the journalists should cover it and congratulate all involved for a good job well done - because they don't believe leftwing activists should have a place in the public square of debate. Anything that destroys them, no matter how underhand, is a moral good.

That's the situation broadly in British politics and that's why many of us think we live in a very imperfect democracy

Same thing everywhere unfortunately. The powers that be understand how to manipulate crowds.

Imagine if people understood the true meaning of the US arranging 50 state coups and installing right-wing American business-friendly governments in all of them.
Imagine if people understood the true meaning of the revelation that 5000 CIA employees were installed at various media companies all over the world.
Imagine if people understood the true meaning of military and corporate entities spending billions on research how to most effectively manipulate people.
Imagine if people took their biases aside and understood why certain individuals are defamed for very little while others can get away with anything.

The world would be a better place if people understood that our society is a cult, no different from scientology or similar.

Its a hopeless battle trying to get the brainwashed to understand that they're very far from being the logical freethinkers they've been told they are.

Just a shame free thinking doesn't enable you to construct a relevant argument.
