Former Albion goalkeeper Michel Kuipers has signed for Blue Square Premier side Crawley Town.
The 35-year-old Dutch shot-stopper has put pen-to-paper on a one year, full-time contract at the Broadfield Stadium for the 2010/11 season.
Kuipers is also in discussions with the Seagulls about a possible future role with Albion in the Community.
Kuipers said, "I am delighted to sign for Crawley Town and especially Steve Evans, who I have the highest regard for.
''I want to try and help get Crawley to the next level and I believe we can do that, otherwise I would have chosen one of the many other options I had.''
A popular figure with the Albion fans, Kuipers enjoyed ten successful years with the club before he was told he would not be offered a new contract by boss Gus Poyet earlier this month.
The Dutchman made 278 senior appearances for the club, winning two championship medals and a further promotion through the play-offs.
