Very poor effort. Horrible grammar, misspellings and dreadful punctuation. Shameful effort.

Rumour round these parts is that the new owner knows very little about football. Apparently got quite upset when his first choice manager took another job and has been offering around 5 times Jackett's salary to tempt a top manager.

My source on this is one I trust. It may be exaggerated, but I suspect not.

I heard that mendes has quite a big say, he finds it increasingly difficult to move players that have 3rd party ownership onto the big clubs so he will get them into Wolves and move them on! It will end in tears for Wolves I think.

Honestly couldn't say. The impression I got was that they do want to make a genuine go of it, just they don't quite know the logistics of running a football club.

Silvio: Wolves sign Atletico Madrid defender for undisclosed fee

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/36934571

Wolves have signed Atletico Madrid defender Silvio for an undisclosed fee.

The 28-year-old Portugal international has signed a one-year deal with the Championship club with the option of a second year.

Silvio spent last season on loan at Benfica and is the second Portuguese to join the club this week after winger Helder Costa joined from Benfica.

Wolves appointed Italian Walter Zenga as their new boss on Saturday having sacked Kenny Jackett on Friday.

Wouldnt have been my choice as I would have gone for Steve Bruce proven in this league.

Posted these on another thread. Looks like a disaster waiting to happen to me.

Wolves confirmed signings since the take over (21st July):

Helder Costa. Played at Monaco on loan last year 15 starts 10 sub appearances. Three goals, probably an alright player.

Silvio. Signed from Atletico Madrid. On loan at Benfica last year played 12 games. You can find a picture of him holding the Europa League Trophy so he must be brilliant  Basically this guy is a massive sick note and has not played a full season at any level since 2010/11.

Joao Teixeira 2. Signed from Benfica again. Played for Vitoria Guimaraes at the end of last season in the Portuguese Second division. Likely to be proper shit, Portuguese second division football is Monkey Tennis League standard.

Zenga looks a pretty terrible manger as well. Sacked at Sampdoria after 14 games last season. Longest he has lasted anywhere is 50 games. Signings all look a bit meh, to me. Then they just rumour the signing of Anderson Talisca for £20m, from under the noses of Liverpool :lolol: Then Jorge Mendes gets to shuffle some players around from Portugal via the medium of brown envelopes and away we go, another club sold to idiots and fans hood winked in to believing in a brave new world.

Wolves available at 16-1 to be relegated with certain bookies. There are definitely worse bets out there.

Agreed (for once!).

I'm sure most sensible Wolves fans would have been far happier with Bruce than Zenga. Clueless foreign owner though, just wanted a "big name appointment", but this has shitstorm written all over it. He will not last the season.

To anybody with a knowledge of English football Steve Bruce is a big name. If the owner had no idea his football advisors should have and should have advised him accordingly. I wonder if he will see the January window. I doubt it.
