Bloom has never featured on the Sunday Times rich list, or Australian equivilent or Forbes, this is half the reason for the speculation.

Well he was in that publication because it got passed around at work maybe as a supplement to estates Gazette I can assure you albeit a while ago but post Amex.

he was in the Estates Gazette rich list in 2011, with a speculative valuation of £50m based on £10m of filed company assets and Falmer itself. he drops off the list in 2012.

There seems to be an assumption by many that TB is aiming for the prem to get a return on his investment. Whilst the club itself will increase in value (not sure £200 mill) not many prem clubs run at a profit (see Everton). The club can surely only be a very expensive hobby for him.
