My first season, did a few aways but not that one so missed it. Was it even filmed? Never seen it.
I was there, all those years ago. Haven't seen it on film since.
Difficult to say exactly how far out he was when he started the run. Probably 35-40 yards. Difficult to say how many players he beat. Probably 5 or 6. I remember we won 2-0. Can't remember if it was the first or second goal. ( Got a funny feeling he scored both )
Despite the ageing uncertainty, it was still a brilliant goal. The best individual goal I have seen in 58 years of support. It was a few seconds of breathtaking magnificence, in a season when everything he touched went in ( 32 goals from the wing!!!! )
I saw the Vicente dribble v Derby and Mitoma's on Saturday but this was on a different level ( plus he scored ) A truly great goal.

What are the words the the Enciso song, long version not the repeat of first name!
Is this the real guy?
To put in my Fantasy?
Causing a landslide,
Of points for BHAFC
Open your eyes,
Look up to the skies, En Ci... So...
He was a poor boy, but now needs no sympathy,
Because he's easy shoot, easy goal
Put it high, put it low,
Any way for Julio, doesn't really matter to
Me, to me...

And what tune does it go to? :)

Shirley an easier, more natural, chant would be his name to the tune of 'Here we go, here we go, here we go'

…or we can stick with the song he’s already got :smile:
Quite right, this is pretty correct from memory but I've heard a line with Paraguay and blue and white in it too so there is another variant.

Julio Encisoooo
He knew the place to go
Although he’s never seen
The boys from the withdean
He felt it everywhere
Breathed in the sea air
Then he said to me, fuxck CPFC

Heard slight differences as below too, not completely sure what is *correct*

Julio Encisoooo
He knew the way to go
He came from Paraguay
To play in blue and white
He felt it everywhere
Breathed in the sea air
Then he said to me
Fxck CPFC

This would be brilliant, funny and an original song to sing, you’d have to print off some song sheets to get it going but could be class.

Yep. I'm still trying to get to grips with the De Zerbi one. Keep forgetting that last word.

Ohhhhhhh Roberto De ............

Macca on Enciso, from official site:

“When I see him, I see myself. When I came here, it wasn’t easy. The language, the culture, everything is different. It’s not easy when you don’t play so I try to speak with him every day to see how he feels and push him to train better and try his best.

“After you win something or score you are in a good moment, but you have to keep going. This is the time for him to realise he needs to work even harder.

“I don’t need to say good things about him because everyone saw what he can do [against Chelsea] so there is no point. But I will keep speaking with him, trying to tell him he needs to focus on the next game and do his best.”

THIS is why we're succeeding, folks. Amazing people.

Makes you wonder why his Dad keeps sticking his oar in when you read Alexis’ comments and see his performances. A totally unnecessary distraction at this stage of the season

Exactly what he needs, the seasoned pro who has won the World Cup to bring him down and not get lost in a brilliant 5 mins (Connolly anyone?).

Mac didn't miss a beat after the WC. Keeps on giving top class performances.

Would suprise me if Enciso started at Wembley, probably on the bench.
