It was a good description at the time. As I see it now, Biden is 250/6 chasing that 270 and that new ball is losing its shine

And the not out batsman are Sobers and Bradman, he hey

wtg to why people vote for Trump, chap on CNN earlier said many voted for him out of fear of the left. they really dont like what the left want to do, or how. promising tax rises isnt a great sell to large parts of the population, tradesman, mid-managers, small business owners. the left need to bring them on side to help win elections. sound familar?

If Biden was reliant on PA for the win, I'd be a lot more concerned about recounts and election ****ery.
Stat Brother is right that there will probably yet be silliness, but if Biden can get to 270 prior to PA (which won't finishing counting for a few days), that strengthens his case, and obviously it's harder to overturn a number of states, rather than just one.

I agree with you - Trump gets Pennsylvania and he is back in it again

I was referring specifically to Wisconsin. I am cautiously optimistic overall now. Also, Pennsylvania probably won't declare for a number of days. The hope is Biden gets to 270 without Penn.

Arizona looking good for Biden, but what about Nevada, could that be a surprise?

And trump appointed a new post master general, a republican friend, who has shares in UPS, and he over the last 6 months has dismantled a huge number of sorting machines to slow down the postal sorting and distribution process?? This has been a strategy all along. In a pandemics huge amount of postal votes, he called all his supporters to vote in person and planted the seed of postal fraud early on, so slow down all Biden's votes get ahead, call it, take it to court. Utter corrupt cheating maniac!

Wow have a work teams meeting come back and Trump is out to 4.5 v 1.28 now (4.5 is the same as a Burnley win on Friday night to put into context)

On the same theme, apparently he picks up a lot of Latino votes which was always surprising to me but by all accounts there is a quite a split between the Latino vote. The Cubans and Venezuealan's largely vote for him purely because they are totally anti any form of Socialism due to the situation in their home countries.

Stating the obvious here but the USA really is a fascinating country.

Still looking fairly positive for Biden, as the vast majority of uncounted votes are in Clark, where he is up 53-45, and Washoe, where he is 51-47.

If, IF, Biden wins Wisconsin (now likely), Arizona (likely) and Michigan (behind but mail-ins looking promising), then I don't think he needs Pennsylvania unless one of the other states (like Maine or Nevada) goes spectacularly wrong.

Well wouldn't that be the least pleasurable double to pick up on.

4.5 is massive. But I remember Brexit being 15s before I went to bed, considering a consolation £100 on it but thinking "Nah, nothing to worry about".

That's correct, plus Georgia is still in play with a lot of urban postals to count

Hopefully this will be allowed on The Big Board.

It's showtime. In parts of the world the match has formally kicked off and over a million goals have already been scored, but who will come top.

Will Sleepy Joe take the victory many predict or will Fake News Donald pull it out of the bag at the last moment? It's still too tight to call and we may not have a result for days. Much to the dismay of Americans, this could be like a Test Match Special, except with guns (we hope not).

No doubt most of us will not know the result until the wee hours, but for those night owls (and those around the world) shall we put the Trump thread to one side and use this to focus on Election night? After all, in the interests of parity, at least the thread has Biden's name in the title.

Let the votes be counted.

Could you clarify the definition you're using for the word 'win' in the Pole (sic) question "Who's going to win?" please?

Asking for a friend.

Trump, Brexit, & Covid - what an unholy alliance. Oh, and you can add VAR to that list.

Who would have predicted such a disaster in modern times?

What next? Defeat to Burnley? I wan't to get off this ride.
