Scott’s the business, he should choose us as the perfect club for his development. Fact.

But I noticed he’s revered on Top 6 fora, no doubt Smug Eddie/Ashworth have noticed him too.
He really is, every time I've seen him play he's been the best player on the pitch by a country mile. He can easily step up to a top 6 team.

As PB said, "the top clubs will identify the top 100 young players in Europe". Or words to that effect and your absolutely right we are perfect for that next stage in a young footballers career. Ultimately it comes down to a massive pay rise to sit on a teams bench, aka Kelvin Phillips at City versus, does he want to develop and get to the top playing regularly like Ally Mac and co? Mentality is everything.

Our recent track record in improving young players, giving them plenty of first team opportunities, must be the equal of anyones.

I can only think of Alzate, Lamptey and Connelly who regressed. Shirley their doing?

Other clubs it appears to me play the percentages of their best XI or thereabouts in PL games.

Alzate not really had a chance
Exactly. He always had Lallana, Groß, Moder or Mac Allister just ahead of him. But he was my MotM against Chelsea at home last season. A revelation. I think he then got injured and slid down the pecking order once again.

He is no Bissouma or Caicedo so can’t compete for the midfield destroyer role.

Hopefully he does USG a favour today for Liege as they take on Gent in the playoffs.
