I love Bond.
Craig's Bond is my second favourite.
I loved Casino Royale.
Quantum of Solace was cack.
Skyfall was pretty damn good.

I am eagerly anticipating this film, with a hint of fear that it'll be QoS part 2.

My first watch of Quantum of Solace was that it wasn't very good. However, watching Casino Royale again, then watching QoS shortly after, it made a lot more sense as a sequel, a dark descent for Bond into revenge and cold violence. I actually grew to like it a lot more.

I can't see it topping Casino Royale - the opening action sequence to that one blew EVERY other Bond opening scene into the long grass as far as I'm concerned, and as a Bond reboot that film was pretty much perfection. QoS and Skyfall never came close.

Looking forward to this one though (apart from the utterly HORRIFIC theme tune, which has somehow found its way to No1).

Great fan of Bond films but not sure if the Craig portrayal, a more sophisticated, gritty, complex character is really suited to fighting old school baddies like Spectre. Prefer to see him up against Isis / Al Qaeda.

I found myself revisiting QoS and it had definitely improved, I came to the conclusion for that film to work you need the following:-

- Not watched a Bond for a while.
- Be prepared for the worst product placement.
- Know there isn't really a villain.
- Have a dislike of utilities companies, in this case The Water Board.
- Know it's rubbish.
- Make sure there's nothing else on.

After those boxes are ticked, Quantum isn't actually a bad film.

I'm gutted I now have plans for the day after release for which it would be best that I don't think of myself as a '00'.
I might not get to the film until the Wednesday, oh the humanity.

Looking forward to SPECTRE as Daniel Craig really has grown in to the role. It's sad that he has been making noises along the lines that this may well be his last film

You could try driving there instead of cycling, you'd get there before Wednesday, however, you would miss the exhilaration of cycling through red lights.

Waltz will either be brilliant or terrible - no middle ground

He'll be terrible, one of the most overrated character actors of recent years. Total one trick pony but that's quite good for a Bond villain.

I'm pretty sure I read somewhere a while back that his contract has one further film to go after Spectre. At that point he'll be around 50 and I would think that is old enough for Bond to seem realistic. Past that he'll just seem like an old man.

Yeah he's contracted for 1 more. Point of fact it's not out Nov 6th, in the UK it's out on 26th of this month.
It looks quite good, I don't know how much mileage there is left in the "secrets from the past, Bond is past it, no place for cold blooded killers in the modern world" schtick that has been the continuous theme with Craigs. One but all the others have been superb so I'll give it a go. It's all about Star Wars this year.
