No frustration here. I have a lot of admiration for Norwich. The idea that spending loads of money guarantees survival in the PL is completely flawed. See Fulham for details. Very much looking forward to our game at yours.

And when you don’t have the money, then you risking the long term future of the club

People think that the £100m+ you get for promotion means you can spend that on transfers, forgetting all the other costs involved like bonuses and commitment to years of huge wages they’d demand. You could end up in league 1 if you’re not careful. We’ll probably get relegated but those complaining it’s the same teams doing well in the championship and coming up don’t seem to have a problem with the same teams dominating the premier league

The money we had was spent on promotion bonuses, new contracts,
paying off debt and redeveloping the training ground so not sure what we could have done to spend wisely unless you think we should have gambled (tried that and nearly crippled us) and left a substandard training ground which doesn’t help the club grow. We got a decent amount for Godfrey and fees don’t rocket just because you stay up. I get it can be frustrating seeing a club without a rich owner getting promoted who won’t gamble their future but I don’t think it stinks. Blame modern football, not us.

And just to add, covid hit hard for all clubs and left us with a £30m black hole. The sale of Buendia basically covered that so the £50m+ we’ve spent wasn’t exactly frugal

I wonder how Jake is enjoying seeing Norwich as the equivalent of the United Kingdom in Eurovision :lolol:

I do hope Norwich pick up a point before we play them . It will be my first away game in about 3 years and I don't have a good record.

Norwich have had a tough first four games - Liverpool, City, Leicester and Arsenal, I wonder how many points we’d have come away with

Of the 6 we have so far risked, we have picked up 4.

He made some comments bigging up Newcastle’s owners I believe and had a pop at people who criticise them. People like, erm, Amnesty and just about anyone with a conscience.

You might want to look at the date of my post. And who Mackems are. :lolol:
