In an unashamedly pedantic reply I have to advise
that this is a final being played on a neutral ground and is therefore not a home match. I will tolerate no argument on this point; it is the reserve team who play in this competition, and their home ground is Withdean.

I may be wrong, and I'm sure I'll be corrected, but the 5000 difference could be the combination of away fans and 1901. 12,000 made available to be bought by brighton fans, 17,000 total attendance.
